    Kitch Ayre

    License Number: 165043

I discovered Emerald isle while vacationing here in 1991 with my husband and our two youngest children. We loved it and bought a vacation home the first time we were here. Two years later we decided to make it our permanent home. Both Ken and I grew up near the ocean and were excited to be back. I was a licensed Realtor in Maryland since 1976 and decided that it would be a lot more fun selling houses at the beach. It was a good move for the whole family. My husband and youngest son operate our family restaurants “Kathryn’s Bistro and Martini Bar” and “Jackie’s American Grille”, both located in Emerald Isle. My only daughter Kelly is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and a third year law student at Elon Law in Greensboro. My other four sons and their families come to visit as often as they can! This is my 15th year selling in Emerald Isle and I love it! I meet people from all over and help them buy and sell their vacation homes, investment properties and full time residences. I also have quite a few military customers with the close proximity to 2 bases. I take my job very seriously and make myself available to my customers almost anytime. I know that their transactions are very important to them and I want them to be able to contact me whenever they need me. I also feel that I need to know as much as possible about this market and to give the best customer service possible -even long after the sale! I have been honored as Bluewater’s Top Producer every year since 1999 as well Carteret County’s top producer for 5 years. In today’s challenging Emerald Isle Real Estate market selecting the right real estate agent to represent you is crucial. It can make all of the difference in the world. Whether you’re planning on buying or selling or just have a question please feel free to call me! Let me put my enthusiasm, integrity and attention to detail to work for you!

    Laina Collins

    License Number: 285246

I grew up on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. Having moved here from Long Island, NY at the age of 4 and then moving back after exploring life in the city of Charlotte for several years, I feel this is truly home. They say home is where the heart is; I suppose mine lies here. Before breaking into the real estate world, I was a pediatric cardiology nurse at Levine Children's Hospital. I loved everything about my job, even those hard, heavy-hearted days. But, the city wasn't a thrill for my husband and I any longer. We missed the coastal beaches that we grew up on and longed to be back in salty water and have our toes in the sand. Working outside of a children's hospital did not turn out well for me. I could not adjust to way we whiny adults are (kids are way tougher than us). My heart belonged to the pediatric world which just does not exist here on our coast. With that, I decided to try a new en-devour in the world of real estate, and while different, I am learning that I can love another job as much as I loved my first. So here I am, breaking out into real estate and I would love to work with you.

Welcome to the Crystal Coast of North Carolina and the “Southern Outer Banks!” I have lived in Carteret County for over 30 years and love the coastal breezes, many water vistas, and fresh air. My home is in Charlotte, NC and I went to college at UNC in Greensboro and Chapel Hill. As a North Carolina native, I have experienced all areas of this beautiful “variety vacationland” state, and this coastal area is my favorite. I have been a licensed real estate broker for over 25 years and also am a registered nurse, and have combined those 2 careers over the years. For the past nine years, I have spent most of my time working in real estate and have thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a true delight to introduce new people to this area and help them find just the right home. I am an animal lover, especially horses, and have a Shackleford Banks horse that I “adopted” from the island several years ago. I enjoy spending time with my daughter and granddaughters, who live in Virginia, and other friends and family who love to come visit the beautiful beach here. You can be assured that I will listen to your needs, and bring you to the properties that will fit your specific desires. My past clients have noted that I work in a timely and professional manner, and am always available by phone or email, to answer any questions. I will work hard for you, as my goal is to always have a happy client!
